Printable mazes for preschool to 2nd grade
Mazes in every size, from a tiny 4 × 4 grid for three-year-olds to large mazes for second graders, plus path mazes where the way out follows a math or letter rule. Every maze has the solution drawn on the second page.
Pre-K (ages 4-5)
Kindergarten (ages 5-6)
What mazes build
Attention, spatial thinking, patience and pencil control. Children learn to try a path, back out of dead ends and look for another way, which is real problem solving.
How to pick the size
Ages 3-4: 4 × 4 or 5 × 5. Ages 4-5: about 6 × 6. Ages 5-6: 8 × 9. Ages 6-8: 10 × 12 and the rule mazes. Start one level easier than you think: success keeps children going.
