Accessibility
We want every parent and teacher to be able to find, read and print our worksheets. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- Pages use real headings, lists and landmarks, so screen readers can follow them.
- Menus, links and buttons work with a keyboard, and the focus is always visible.
- Text and controls meet the AA color contrast ratios, and color is never the only way information is shown.
- Each worksheet preview has a text description, and the page also says in words what the worksheet practices and how many exercises it has.
- Text can be zoomed to 200% and the pages work on phones as well as computers.
- Our PDFs have a title, the document language set to English, and selectable text rather than a flat image.
- We check pages with automated accessibility tests before they go online.
Known limits
The worksheets themselves are made to be printed and completed with a pencil, so much of their content is visual: tracing lines, pictures to count or color, mazes. A screen reader can read the PDF text, but it cannot fully describe a drawing or a tracing path. If you need a worksheet in a different form, email us and we will try to help.
Report a problem
If something does not work for you, email [email protected] with the page address and the device or assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five business days.
